As I sit here to type this post, I can see that it's just started snowing again.
I know this might sound weird, but I keep wishing that snow would smell of something, just a faint smell. Like of lemons, or cinnamon, or even pine. How lovely would that be? Like rain, we'd be able to smell the snow coming.
I can't believe it's already the end of the year - what a year it's been and I have so much to be grateful for. Having said that, I already know that next year is going to be just as full on. It starts with *my birthday* on the 1st of January (which I still haven't planned anything for), followed by deadline after deadline for the book.
Back to Christmas, and this year, I thought I'd try something slightly different - raspberry swirl marshmallow. I had no idea how much fun and how easy it is to make until I did a test run the other day. Since then, I've made a few variations, and this one is by far the best. It's as light as a cloud on your tongue, not quite as sweet as candy floss, and with a tart kick from the raspberries, I can't wait to serve it at my party.
Whatever you're doing this holiday, I wish you happiness, health and lots of love.
