I'm a breakfast person. I *love* breakfasts.
I mean, I love desserts too of course, but I love breakfasts even more.
I remember when I was a child, my mother would always have the table fully set for breakfast every morning with fresh flowers, juice, tea, coffee, bread, jams... the full spread. Every morning.
It was one of the most comforting things to wake up to.
I've never been one for New Year's resolutions, but this year they came flooding through, probably from all the years of not having any.
So here's my complete (and very honest) list in order of importance:
1. Be more true to myself.
2. Be kinder to myself.
3. Be more organised, focused & calm.
4. Live NOW.
5. Work harder to learn & improve my food photography.
6. Have something different for breakfast every day this year.
7. Take at least one food photo a day every day this year.
8. Blog more often.
And the result is my Breakfast Photo page: a breakfast photo a day, every day.
It helps me practice my food photography on a daily basis, and because my book deadline is fast approaching, it helps me blog more, while blogging less, if that makes sense - no recipe development involved, no extra styling needed (ok, maybe just a little more), no writing involved, and just one photo a day.
Organised. Focused. Calm.
I'm uploading these photos daily, but in separate pages to the main blog site, just so that I don't clog everyone's readers and inboxes with daily updates. If you'd like to get daily updates as and when I post, the best place to see them would be my facebook page or twitter page. You can also find them all on the Breakfast Photo page and I'll be doing a summary blog post like this one once a week too.
There's so much more I want to say, so much has happened since I last posted nearly three weeks ago, and there's lots more going on, but I really, really need to get back to finishing my book as my deadline is fast approaching at the end of the month, and there's so much left to do.
