The first draft of my manuscript is complete!
I just finished it this morning. It's been hard work and I often thought I wouldn't finish on time. But I have a feeling the really hard work starts now: editing, rewriting and retesting.
I can finally reveal more information about the book: the title hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's going to be a book about - Whoopie Pies! 70 recipes to be exact, and published by Aquamarine, an imprint of Anness Publishing. I know many of you have been asking for more information, but I only just got the go-ahead this week to release more details. They publish some beautifully photographed books, just have a look at some of their previous cookbook covers.
I've been working non-stop on this for the past three months, baking, testing buttercreams, batters, toppings, flavours, and writing everything down. I've had so much fun doing it all, but I think I might have just slightly underestimated how much work it all was going to be.
I've been dreaming of holidays and I can't wait for spring. B & I are thinking of going to Turkey, and from what I've seen so far, it all looks beautiful. I've been meaning to go for so long now.
Have you been? Do you have any nice recommendations you can share? What to see, what to do, what to eat?
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
(I'm going to be spending it eating, sleeping and relaxing.)
p.s. have you tried Earl Grey tea with fresh thyme leaves? I've been drinking it every afternoon with my cantuccinis, and it is divine. Try it. Let me know.
