Happy New Year everyone!
After cooking and baking so much comfort food over the holidays, I thought I'd start the year with a quick and healthy salad that's packed with flavour from all the herbs used in this recipe - it's all about cleansing & replenishing. Maybe that's why I've been having this salad almost every day for the last week. It's adapted from Donna Hay's Fast, Fresh, Simple - one of the many cookbooks I was given at Christmas - and it's the perfect way to begin the new year.
Also, below are a couple of images I shot for the latest issue of The Simple Things magazine - this feature was all about Yerba Mate tea. Finding the props for this shoot was fun and it was great learning about the traditions of how this tea is prepared and shared. A big thank you to Valentina, my South American friend, who helped me with the background info for this shoot.
As I write this, it's just started snowing outside, so it's the perfect excuse for me to brew another cup of this uplifting tea.
