Big Bad Brutus Burger Recipe

500g lean minced beef
1 medium onion, chopped finely
1 medium chilli, chopped finely
1 tsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp mustard
salt & black pepper, to season
1 tbsp oil, for frying
4 burger buns, split and lightly toasted
mayonnaise, lettuce, ketchup & tomatoes, to serve
In a bowl, combine the minced beef with the onion, chilli, egg, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper.
Divide into 4 and shape into patties.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan over a high heat.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the burgers.
Fry for 5 minutes on each side.
For each burger, spread the bun base with mayonnaise, top with lettuce, then the burgers, drizzle with ketchup and top with a few slices of tomatoes. Top with the bun lid and serve.
